Description Overview / Responsibilities:
- Support Perrigo Work System initiatives to drive continuous improvements to production lines
- Lead daily handoffs, daily stretches, and ensure daily housekeeping and safety activities are completed
- Assist Set-up Techs during changeovers; troubleshoot machinery as needed
- Ensure SOP and cGMP compliance
- Train employees and provide direction to resolve production problems
- Work with support functions (e.g., Quality, Validation, Maintenance)
- Participate in initiatives related to quality, safety, productivity, cost, OEE, and on-time delivery
- Oversee daily organization of the production process (track efficiency; align break times and run times)
- Foster an environment where continuous improvement can thrive
Qualifications / Required Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math and reading/comprehension skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft; SAP preferred; ability to use point-and-click and navigate computer-based training
- Ability to stand for length of shift with breaks every 2 hours (85% of shift), lift 10 lbs continuously, up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Climb/descend stepladders up to 7 steps; push/pull handcarts/skids/drums up to 220 lbs
- Stoop/bend to adjust machines and clean work area; reach laterally/overhead occasionally; grasp/move/adjust objects
- Work minimum of 40 hours/week; see/hear/understand signs, labels, and instructions; work each packaging station and maintain pace
- Excellent attendance and work record
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and ability to motivate with minimal supervision; record keeping and tool use; trainer certification may be required in some areas
Preferred:
- Previous production knowledge and training experience
