Operations
Position Summary
- Operate packaging line equipment, handle materials, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (SOPs; cGMP/DEA/OSHA).
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean/safe/organized work area per PPE, safety, and EHS.
- Execute packaging operations per approved documentation and SOPs.
- Respond to alarms; troubleshoot packaging process issues.
- Clean equipment; change parts; perform line clearance.
- Complete documentation (room/equipment logbooks, batch records, verification checks).
- Stage/transfer packaging materials and bulk product; verify components vs. batch records/protocols.
- Stack finished goods cases, shrink-wrap pallets, and transfer to warehouse.
- Operate palletizer and pallet jack safely.
- Remove unused/discarded materials to designated warehouse/recycling.
- Communicate to resolve issues and maintain workflow; demonstrate urgency for quality/CI.
- Train/mentor other Material Handlers and Packaging Operators as required; perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Experience: 1–2 years in FDA-regulated packaging environment (desired).
- Skills: Proficient with HMI screens for Tablet/Capsule Filler, Cottoner, Capper, Desiccant Inserter, Checkweigher, Labeler, Case Former, Pallet Jack; assist with line changeovers; basic math; aggregation process knowledge; respond to equipment alarms/faults/error messages and assess product impact; safe EHS/PPE compliance.
- Language: Read/write/speak/understand English.
Physical
- Lift up to 50 lbs; work at elevation with safety gear; stand ~6 hrs/shift; vision accuracy and color detection.
Schedule/Compensation
- Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:45pm–7am. $34.45/hr + $2 shift differential.
