Role Summary
Senior Director of Organization Design – Future of Work to develop the strategy, approaches and tools that enable Leaders and HR in designing tech-enabled organizations. Define frameworks and guidance to evolve workforce plans, roles and team structures, and work with stakeholders across HR, senior leaders, training, finance, and data & technology to design, develop and implement products that meet organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Define the enterprise-wide organization design strategy that enables the adoption and integration of AI across functions and business units
- Align strategy with enterprise goals, talent priorities, and future-of-work initiatives
- Develop practical frameworks, tools, and methods for organization design, role design, and capability planning—purpose-built for use by HR Business Partners and leaders
- Create scalable resources (e.g., design playbooks, decision guides, capacity models, change impact tools) to support consistent and effective adoption across the enterprise
- Partner with Workforce Planning, Data & Technology, and Finance teams to understand capacity shifts from AI use cases and translate them into proactive workforce strategies
- Identify how work shifts across roles—and build guidance to support role transitions, upskilling, or redeployment in a supportive and empowering way
- Serve as a thought partner and advisor to HR Business Partners and functional leaders, equipping them with the tools to lead AI-related org design shifts
- Engage with functional leaders on the approach and build ownership of AI-enabled ways of working
- Develop change management guidance and leader enablement strategies that help HR and people managers support teams through organizational evolution
- Identify risks and opportunities for organizational health and employee experience as AI adoption accelerates
- Establish success measures to track the effectiveness of org design and workforce efforts
- Use feedback loops and pilot learnings to iterate and refine tools and frameworks over time
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in organization design, operating model development
- Experience with workforce planning and/or modeling, including capability and capacity planning
- Familiarity with advancing technology AI and agentic AI and their implications on workforce productivity, structure, skills, and work design
- Proven experience developing strategy and scalable frameworks for Leaders and HR
- Strong background in culture and driving change management, supporting leaders through large-scale transformation
- Executive written and presentation communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Experience supporting HR business partners and Leaders in applying org design in practice
- Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and lead groups toward common goals
- Creative problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities with ability to execute through strong operational excellence and attention to detail
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Human Resources, I/O Psychology, Business, or a related field OR equivalent relevant experience
- Typically requires 12 years of experience in organization design and/or strategy HR roles or the equivalent combination of education and experience
