About the Role (Oncology Sales)
Report to the Regional Director and work with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Implement marketing/brand strategy; target and deploy resources to key customers
- Formulate strategies to achieve sales and product positioning goals
- Provide on-label clinical data to support appropriate product use
- Develop relationships with high-level decision makers and influential groups
- Create and execute account-specific business plans; use targeted marketing materials
- Provide real-time market analysis to Home Office
- Drive field execution (calls/day and target reach)
- Apply product/technical expertise to achieve sales goals
- Maintain strong product, disease-state, competitive, and organizational knowledge
- Analyze data and prepare materials for business reviews
- Act as technical/functional subject matter resource; continue skill development
- Complete accurate, timely reporting (e.g., territory action plan, expenses, itinerary, inventory, speaker requests, budget tracking)
- Report adverse events compliantly
- Understand oral molecule distribution/delivery and specialty pharmacy/provider interface
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree and 5+ years pharmaceutical experience
- Strong presentation/communication skills
- Ability to communicate scientific knowledge compliantly with medical professionals
- Strong computer/technical skills; navigate software to analyze territory data
- Valid driverβs license
Preferred:
- Oncology/rare disease/specialty pharmaceutical experience
- Established relationships in geographic area
- Large account management experience (oncology community practices, academic/NCI/NCCN centers)
Travel: 10β20%; territory: Grand Rapids and surrounding areas
Training: contingent upon passing mandatory product training (written/oral). Training includes live instruction/independent study/role play (up to 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week). External hires are non-exempt during training; overtime eligible during training only.
