This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, Lake Placid, Binghamton and surrounding areas).

Reporting into the District Manager (DM), the Oncology Specialist (OS) will build and implement territory business plans aligned with overall brand objectives and business goals. Responsibilities include building a comprehensive strategic business plan with specific, measurable objectives and action-oriented strategies in accordance with regional and national goals, including responsible resource allocation and compliant, high ethical standards.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting/exceeding assigned sales goal.
- Presents approved disease state and product information to customers using persuasive/consultative selling skills (within AbbVie Promotional Policy boundaries).
- Leverages sales analytics and customer intelligence to create high-impact, strategic plans aligned with brand objectives.
- Executes sales and marketing strategies within the territory using cross-functional partners and approved resources.
- Continuously builds knowledge of the evolving marketplace, territory changes, and disease state/product expertise.
- Collaborates effectively with territory partners and external counterparts.
- Develops and executes a call plan to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing AbbVie activities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s Degree preferred.
- 6+ years Oncology, including solid tumors sales experience preferred.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations.
- Exceptional communication ability using a consultative selling style.
- Competitive selling skills; collaborative team environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Must pass AbbVie background check and additional screening as required (may include background checks, immunization, TB, HIV, hepatitis, drug screening).
- Business travel (air or car) regularly required.
- Driving a personal auto or company vehicle/equipment; valid driverโ€™s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
