Oncology Sales Representative (Field-Based) β Richmond/Southern Virginia Territory (Norfolk, Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, Richmond)
Key Responsibilities:
- Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the geography.
- Collaborate with territory counterparts to ensure a seamless customer experience; meet key stakeholders to understand practice structure, business model, and key influencers; build relationships and trust.
- Use approved resources/messaging to communicate a patient-centered rationale for oncology products in indicated uses.
- Maintain knowledge of multidisciplinary care/extended care team workings, cancer staging, treatment options/pathways/guidelines, and impacts on patients.
- Analyze trends in complex buying environments across multiple drug distribution channels (e.g., GPOs, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies).
- Review/evaluate product purchasing and prescribing patterns (e.g., outpatient vs inpatient infusion; hospital/GPO contracts).
- Develop and execute short- and long-term account plans with the local team and Oncology Customer Team Leader.
- Ask insightful questions to understand customer priorities and support relevant product portfolio discussions.
- Ensure consistent customer experience and share learnings across cross-functional customer teams.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Bachelorβs degree + 6 years sales experience OR high school diploma + 8 years equivalent experience (healthcare/scientific oncology experience preferred).
- Valid driverβs license; able to drive.
- Travel as required, including 10β15% overnight travel; willing to travel in-person to customers and for meetings/conferences.
- Reside in or within reasonable distance to the district.
Preferred:
- 2+ years oncology field-based experience selling oncology therapeutics to oncology customers.
- Oncology field sales or clinical oncology experience.
Leveling:
- <2 years: considered for S2.
- 2+ years: considered for S3.
