Oncology Sales Representative (Field-based, Boise/Spokane, Idaho territory)
Key Responsibilities:
- Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the geography.
- Collaborate with territory counterparts to ensure customers have a seamless experience; meet key stakeholders to understand practice structure, business model, and influencers; build relationships to uncover needs.
- Use approved resources/messaging to communicate patient-centered rationale for oncology products in indicated uses.
- Demonstrate knowledge of extended care/multidisciplinary teams, cancer staging, treatment options, pathways, and guidelines for different tumors/diseases.
- Analyze and identify trends in complex buying environments (e.g., GPOs, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies).
- Review/evaluate patterns for products purchased and prescribed (outpatient vs inpatient infusion; hospital/GPO contract).
- Develop and execute short- and long-term plans for complex accounts and local market interdependencies with the local team and district manager.
- Ask insightful questions to understand customer priorities; support relevant conversations about the product portfolio.
- Ensure consistent customer experience and share learnings with in-scope customer team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree with 6+ years sales experience, or high school diploma with 8+ years equivalent experience.
- Equivalent experience may include healthcare/scientific experience with oncology strongly preferred (pharma/biotech/medical devices), professional marketing, or military experience.
- Valid driverβs license; ability to drive.
- Travel 10β15% overnight; willing to travel for in-person customer visits and national meetings/conferences.
- Reside in or within a reasonable distance to the district.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- 2+ years oncology field-based experience selling an oncology therapeutic to oncology customers.
- Oncology field sales or clinical oncology experience; documented strong performance.
- Consideration levels: <2 years = S2; 2+ years = S3.
