How you will contribute
People Leadership & Coaching
- Obtain commitments from Oncology Territory Managers (OTMs) to ensure sales strategy and sales plan success in assigned territory
- Lead development and execution of major programs to meet sales objectives
- Ensure OTMs conduct business planning, customer relationship management, reporting, and tracking of execution metrics
- Lead regional training and communication efforts to keep the team informed and engaged
- Ensure team and personal compliance with applicable laws and regulations for interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and dissemination of literature/information
- Drive results: establish goals, manage resources, and achieve regional plans with limited supervision
- Build and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Value & Access (PVA), Learning & Development)
- Recruit, manage, train, and motivate direct reporting staff

Business Excellence and Strategic Account Management
- Analyze regional business trends and opportunities; identify product opportunities
- Execute marketing plans and drive results
- Execute and deliver business reviews
- Partner with Business Insights & Analytics to understand regional business
- Develop and execute strategic/tactical account planning (needs discovery, stakeholder/influence mapping, prioritize goals, deliver value propositions with Marketing and PVA, develop tactical plans)
- Gain formulary and protocol access for Takeda Oncology products
- Coordinate account management at larger outlets
- Develop relationships with executive-level and functional customers (Operations, Financial, Pharmacy); position products and ensure supply
- Build relationships at strategic accounts, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs); leverage clinical experts to educate on therapeutic processes/protocols at institution level
- Identify stakeholders and their needs/priorities within each account
- Develop cross-functional business plans and launch business development initiatives for large/high-volume accounts

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years commercial experience in pharma/biotech with 3+ years in Oncology
- 3+ years Oncology sales leadership experience (highly preferred)
- Proven ability to manage a geographic region; candidate should live near a major airport
- Demonstrated track record of business planning and execution; documented sales success and relationships in assigned region
- High science aptitude; proven ability to coach/teach/train
- Growth mindset; dynamic self-starter with strong influence/entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commercial, Regulatory, and technical awareness
- Ability to navigate multi-disciplinary geography with 50–60% minimum travel
- Valid US Driver’s License in good standing

Preferred
- 4+ years successful leadership experience
- 3+ years direct oncology leadership experience
- Master’s degree

Travel Requirements
- Approximately 50–60% travel, including some evening programs and weekend conferences/congresses
