Associate Director, Oncology Key Accounts (field-based; Mid-Atlantic: MD, Washington D.C., VA; candidate must live in geography). Main point of contact for large Oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks.
Primary Activities & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trust through effective communication and collaboration; lead through ambiguity and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Influence without authority; navigate multiple teams/stakeholders to reach consensus.
- Provide approved disease/product information; maximize appropriate portfolio utilization to improve patient outcomes.
- Align responses to external quality initiatives using approved resources/messages; understand treatment decision factors (pathways, protocols, sites of care, guidelines/quality initiatives).
- Use internal data/analytics to assess account performance and identify engagement opportunities.
- Develop and execute a coordinated, longitudinal account plan; understand B2B buying dynamics and use approved messages with healthcare business partners.
- Coordinate across local account teams to support contract pull-through and address local contract term requests.
- Establish strategic account approach aligned with marketing guidance; align brand strategy with customer needs/objectives.
- Build relationships with key decision makers/influencers; identify approved resources and understand entry/access points.
- Use approved tools to capture/share and communicate internally about the customer.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelorโs degree or high school diploma + 4 years relevant experience (sales, marketing, military, or healthcare/scientific field).
- 2+ years healthcare/life sciences, sales, account management, or managed care.
- Valid driverโs license.
- Relationship-building with senior executives/KOLs; financial acumen; strong healthcare ecosystem knowledge.
- Excellent communication; leadership in cross-functional/matrix environments; ability to travel ~50%.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree; local market relationships; prior account management in large Oncology-focused group practices/IDNs.
