Associate Director, Oncology Key Accounts (field-based; Mid-Atlantic: Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia; candidate should live within geography). Main point of contact for large Oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks.
Primary Activities & Responsibilities
- Leadership: Build trust through communication and collaboration; lead through ambiguous situations; influence without authority to reach consensus across multiple stakeholders.
- Clinical Proficiency: Provide approved disease/product information; maximize appropriate utilization of portfolio; align responses to external quality initiatives and customer needs; understand treatment decision factors (pathways, protocols, sites of care, guidelines/quality initiatives).
- Business Acumen: Use internal data/analytics to identify engagement opportunities; develop coordinated longitudinal account plans; apply knowledge of B2B buying decisions and use approved messages/resources with healthcare business partners; coordinate with local account teams for contract pull-through.
- Operational/Account Management: Establish strategic account approach aligned with marketing; align brand strategy/tactics to customer needs to improve patient outcomes; build relationships with key decision makers to identify approved resources and entry/access points; use approved tools to capture/share customer information internally.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorโs degree or HS diploma + 4+ years relevant experience (sales/marketing/military/healthcare-scientific); 2+ years healthcare/life sciences/sales/account management/managed care; valid Driverโs License; ability to build relationships with senior executives/KOLs; financial acumen; strong healthcare ecosystem understanding; excellent communication; strong leadership in cross-functional/matrix teams; travel ~50%.
- Preferred: Advanced degree; local market relationships; current account management experience in oncology group practices/IDNs focused on Oncology & Hematology.
