Job Summary (Primary Function)
The Oncology/Hematology Specialist acts as the primary customer contact for demand creation by executing the marketing strategy, educating customers, and promoting products. Works collaboratively with internal and external counterparts.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Engage with customers through in-person, virtual, or as requested channels; ensure accessibility and inclusivity.
- Represent in a professional, compliant, and ethical manner.
- Provide feedback on marketing tools/tactics and effectiveness reviews of sales activities.
- Use matrix team resources to address customer needs and ensure access to Incyte products for appropriate patients.
- Provide exceptional customer service via total account management, including ensuring product access and triaging medical and reimbursement issues.
- Execute marketing strategies; deliver branded and disease-state sales messages; execute business plans and planned promotional programs.
- Demonstrate and communicate in depth clinical benefits of Incyte products.
- Develop/maintain strong disease-state knowledge and selling skills.
- Create/maintain a strategically developed business plan using local market and account knowledge.
- Consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets.
Qualifications
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse individuals.
- Strong business analytics and account management skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Buy-and-bill oncolytics and specialty pharmacy experience preferred (not required).
- Relevant Hematology/Oncology experience focused on lymphoma category preferred.
- Relevant biotech/pharmaceutical sales experience (focus on skills/achievements).
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Travel required; ability to travel using various modes (including overnight travel).
- Creative problem solving, collaborative ability, strategic thinking, and leadership.
- Product โaccessโ knowledge; effective communication; business planning acumen; local oncology market knowledge.
- Customer-centric selling approach.
- Valid driverโs license and satisfactory driving record (or ability to meet transportation requirements).
- Ability to work effectively in matrix teams.
- Experience with healthcare providers in community and academic settings.
