Field Medical (Core Responsibilities)
- Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers within a territory (MA, ME, VT, NH, CT), coordinating with Pfizer colleagues as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide therapeutic area/product information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit for Medical Information and customer insights; respond to HCP requests as allowed.
- Contribute to medical content strategy development and execute aligned tactics.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across HQ Medical, Medical Information, and Field Medical.
- Deliver approved education via live/virtual and written/phone channels; optimize patient centricity using health literacy and cultural awareness.
Additional Responsibilities
- Deliver approved medical content; identify and pursue engagement with priority customer segments.
- Provide truthful, scientifically supported responses to unsolicited HCP requests in compliance with Pfizer processes.
- Lead advisory boards; field inbound HCP queries via triage.
- Support clinical trials: help identify potential sites and support ISR; partner with Global Medical Affairs, Oncology R&D, and GPD.
- Cultivate TA expertise (congress/data and literature), lead assets, explain study design/data analysis concepts, deliver field insights, serve on cross-functional committees, represent leadership, mentor, and support special projects.
Qualifications / Skills
- Required: Bachelor’s in a health science.
- Preferred: PharmD/PhD or equivalent terminal degree.
- Experience: PharmD/PhD 6 years; MBA/MSc 8 years; BA/BSc 10 years.
- Subject matter expert; strong oral/written and interpersonal skills; leadership/influence; ability to prioritize/manage remote project volume; matrix/multi-disciplinary collaboration; change agility; clinical/technical skills; rapid adoption of digital tools.
- Required territory residence: MA, ME, VT, NH, or CT.
- Travel: 60–80% and weekends; ability to fly and operate a company car.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of relevant Pfizer SOPs/rules/regulations; prior Field Medical experience.
