Oncology Field Medical Director (MD)

The Oncology Field Medical Director, Malignant Hematology provides therapeutic area/product expertise across hematology and the pipeline within an assigned territory (may include DE, MD, NC, PA, SC, VA, WV, DC).
Field Medical Core Responsibilities
- Plan and execute compliant medical strategy and customer engagement in-territory.
- Maintain knowledge of TA/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide TA/product information.
- Serve as conduit for Medical Information and customer insights.
- Align with Medical Affairs priorities to develop medical content strategy and execute field tactics.
- Communicate effectively across live/virtual, written, and phone channels; optimize patient centricity (health literacy/cultural awareness).
Field Medical Role Responsibilities
- Deliver approved medical content; engage priority HCP/customer segments.
- Respond to unsolicited direct HCP medical requests (truthful, accurate, scientifically supported, compliant).
- Field inbound HCP queries via triage; support Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR).
- Partner to identify sites for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials, including under-represented populations.
- Communicate study design/data analysis concepts; provide asset leadership; maintain territory leadership.
- Collaborate with Patient Advocacy Groups; represent Medical Affairs with professional societies.
- Mentorship (onboarding partner, advisory board and study lead mentor); special projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- MD or DO; 4+ years relevant experience.
- Recognized subject matter expert; strong leadership influence/collaboration.
- Excellent oral/written and interpersonal communication; constructive conflict handling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Malignant Hematology expertise; prior Field Medical experience; knowledge of SOPs/rules/regulations.
- Self-starter accountability/urgency; clinical/technical skills.
Work/Location & Benefits
- Remote, field-based; travel 60β80% (occasional weekends); operate company car.
- Salary range: $230,900β$384,800; bonus target 25% plus long-term incentive eligibility; eligible comprehensive benefits (e.g., 401(k) match, retirement contribution, paid time off, caregiver/medical leave, medical/dental/vision).
