Field Medical Core Responsibilities
- Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers in Northern CA, OR, WA, ID, AK, coordinating with Pfizer colleagues.
- Maintain knowledge of malignant hematology/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide TA/product information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a resource for medical information and customer insights; provide requested information to HCPs per Pfizer guidance and share customer viewpoints.
- Contribute to medical content strategy by understanding Pfizer Medical Affairs priorities; execute aligned Field Medical tactics.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with HQ and other Field Medical colleagues.
- Deliver medical expertise across live/virtual and written/telephone channels; optimize patient-centricity (health literacy and cultural awareness).
Field Medical Role Responsibilities
- Deliver approved medical content in malignant hematology.
- Identify and seek medical engagement from priority customer segments.
- Provide truthful, accurate, scientifically supported responses to unsolicited HCP medical requests per Pfizer policies.
- Field inbound HCP queries via triage process.
- Partner with Global Medical Affairs/O/R&D/GPD to identify clinical trial sites, including for under-represented populations; support Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR).
- Cultivate expertise (e.g., latest congress data and literature); provide asset leadership.
- Understand and communicate study design/methodology/data interpretation; lead the territory.
- Engage Patient Advocacy Groups; serve on cross-functional committees; represent medical leadership with professionalism.
- Mentorship (onboarding partner, advisory board and study lead mentor); participate in special projects.
Basic Qualifications
- MD or DO required; 4+ years relevant malignant hematology experience.
- Subject matter expertise recognized internally/externally.
- Reside in Northern CA, OR, WA, ID, or AK (prefer major city: San Francisco/Sacramento, Portland, or Seattle).
- Ability to manage remote projects, prioritize/judge well, work in matrix teams, lead change, problem-solve, use digital tools, and travel 60–80% by car/plane.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep expertise/clinical experience in malignant hematology; established HCP network in territory.
- Familiarity with Pfizer customer interaction SOPs/rules/regulations; previous Field Medical experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, self-starter accountability, interpersonal/conflict-handling skills.
Work Requirements
- Remote – Field Based; operate Pfizer company car; flexibility for weekends.
