Field Medical Core Responsibilities
- Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers in Northern CA, OR, WA, ID, AK, HI, coordinating with Pfizer colleagues as needed.
- Maintain expertise in malignant hematology disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide TA/product information to internal/external stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit for medical information and customer insights; provide information to HCPs as allowed and share customer viewpoints with Pfizer.
- Contribute to medical content strategy development by understanding Pfizer Medical Affairs priorities; execute aligned Field Medical tactics.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with HQ and other Field Medical colleagues.
- Deliver medical expertise across multiple channels (live/virtual presentations, written, phone/virtual conversations).
- Optimize patient-centricity in communications and deliverables (health literacy and cultural awareness).
Field Medical Role Responsibilities
- Deliver approved medical content on Pfizer medicines and malignant hematology topics.
- Identify and engage priority customer segments; respond to unsolicited HCP requests with truthful, accurate, scientifically supported information per Pfizer guidance.
- Field inbound HCP queries via triage.
- Partner with Global Medical Affairs, Oncology R&D, and GPD on Pfizer-sponsored clinical trial site identification, including under-represented populations.
- Support Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) process.
- Cultivate malignancy hematology expertise (latest congress data/literature).
- Provide asset leadership; understand study design/methods/data analysis/interpretation and communicate to customers.
- Lead territory activities; communicate with Patient Advocacy Groups with Corporate Affairs/HQ Medical Affairs.
- Serve on cross-functional committees as appropriate; represent Medical Affairs with professional societies.
- Mentorship: onboarding partner, ad board and study lead mentor.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science.
- Experience: PharmD/PhD (5+ years) or MBA/MSc (7+ years) or BA/BSc (8+ years).
- Malignant hematology subject-matter expertise recognized internally/externally.
- Reside in Northern CA, OR, WA, ID, AK, or HI (preference for major cities in North CA, OR, or WA).
- Ability to manage remote projects, prioritize, and demonstrate strong judgment in continuous improvement.
- Matrixed/multidisciplinary collaboration to meet Pfizer medical objectives.
- Demonstrated change agility and ability to travel 60–80%.
- Rapid adoption of digital technology and documentation of medical interactions.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- PharmD/PhD or terminal doctoral degree.
- Deep malignant hematology clinical expertise; established HCP network in territory.
- Familiarity with Pfizer/customer SOPs, rules, and regulations.
- Previous Field Medical experience; leadership/teamwork skills; self-starter accountability.
Work Location/Travel
- Remote – field based. Operate company car and fly regularly; travel 60–80%; work weekends as needed.
Benefits/Compensation (if included in posting)
- Base salary range: $176,600.00–$294,300.00. Bonus target: 20% of base salary; participation in share-based long-term incentive; comprehensive benefits (401(k), paid time off, medical/prescription/dental/vision).
