Field Medical Director – Oncology (Malignant Hematology)
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute medical strategy and compliant customer engagement in Northern CA/OR/WA/ID/AK/HI.
- Maintain expertise in malignant hematology disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide TA/product information to internal/external stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit for medical information and customer insights; respond to unsolicited HCP requests per guidelines.
- Develop/execute aligned Field Medical tactics; deliver approved medical content and handle inbound HCP queries via triage.
- Partner with Global Medical Affairs and Oncology R&D/GPD on potential clinical trial sites (incl. under-represented populations).
- Provide medical support for Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR); cultivate research and congress/literature knowledge.
- Lead/serve on cross-functional committees; represent Medical Affairs with professional associations; provide mentorship and support Patient Advocacy Groups.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science.
- Relevant experience: PharmD/PhD (5+ yrs), MBA/MSc (7+ yrs), or BA/BSc (8+ yrs).
- Malignant hematology subject matter expertise; reside in territory (preference major cities in North CA/OR/WA).
- Ability to manage remote projects, prioritize, and lead change; communication skills.
- Travel 60–80%, operate company car, proximity to airline hub; weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal doctoral degree (PharmD/PhD or equivalent); deep malignant hematology expertise; Field Medical experience; HCP network in territory; prior SOP/regulatory familiarity.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Base salary: $176,600–$294,300; bonus target 20% and participation in share-based long-term incentive; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, paid time off and leave.
