Job Summary
The Oncology Clinical Nurse Educator (OCNE) is the clinical expert for the commercial team, providing education for Incyte oncology brands through on-label clinical discussions and disease-state awareness to non-physician patient care teams (PCTs) and patients. Serves as the strategic education leader across academic and community oncology accounts in the assigned geography; develops and executes education plans based on account needs, establishes engagement plans, monitors market dynamics, and collaborates with cross-functional partners in accordance with regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Build enduring relationships with PCT members in the assigned territory; foster an inclusive environment.
- Develop/maintain a strategic educational territory plan based on market and therapeutic landscape dynamics.
- Use strategic questioning to uncover clinical insights and shape educational plans.
- Educate PCTs on disease-state awareness for appropriate patient identification.
- Educate PCTs on approved product use (e.g., dosing, administration, safety) with accessible, inclusive language.
- Provide patient education in advocacy and support group settings with inclusivity and accessibility.
- Communicate complex clinical topics to diverse audiences.
- Participate in projects assigned by Area Associate Director or National Director.
- Attend and/or deliver clinical information at national, regional, and local meetings; provide conference support as appropriate.
- Engage in ongoing learning to support the oncology portfolio.
- Develop, implement, and document performance and development plans with OCNE leadership team.
- Complete all administrative requirements timely, accurately, and compliantly.
Experience and Skills
- Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Active RN license or Advanced Practice degree (NP, PA) or equivalent experience (required).
- Relevant oncology clinical and/or educational experience (required).
- Oncology/hematology experience in pharmaceutical/biotech (preferred, not required).
- Specialty products experience (preferred).
- Product launch experience (beneficial but not required).
- Ability to navigate/discuss complex clinical data; clinical trials experience (beneficial but not required).
- Strong presentation skills (accommodations available); critical thinking.
- Commitment to patient care and well-being (required).
- Travel up to 75% (including overnight stays), with accommodations for disabilities.
- Proficiency with office productivity software (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote, Outlook).
- Valid driverβs license or reliable transportation.
- Territory: NYC, LI, NJ, Eastern PA.
