Oncology Account Manager (Hematology) Buffalo, NY

Territory: Includes Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, New York (Albany excluded).
Position Summary:
Manage a defined territory by building trusted, collaborative relationships with oncology care teams. Create and deliver clear territory plans to improve patient access and drive measurable results. Partner with medical affairs, market access, and commercial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with oncologists, nurse navigators, specialty pharmacists, and institutional accounts.
- Create and execute territory business plans aligned with regional and national goals.
- Identify high-value prescribers and accounts and focus resources to meet clinical and operational priorities.
- Partner cross-functionally to improve patient access and ensure timely availability of therapies.
- Use customer insights and data to prioritize actions, set measurable goals, and track performance.
- Support local launches and field programs through coordinated, compliant activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years in pharmaceutical/biologic/specialty sales or clinical oncology with direct physician or institutional engagement.
- Valid driverβs license; able to drive within the territory.
- Residence within or near the assigned territory (no relocation assistance).
- Travel within territory and occasionally beyond; up to 30β50%.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; influence without authority.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years oncology or specialty sales (health system/institutional accounts preferred).
- Experience in hematology or solid tumor care; infusion therapy/complex product handling.
- Familiarity with specialty pharmacy, payer engagement, or account-based strategies.
- Proven ability to build/execute territory plans and meet measurable targets.
- Strong organizational skills; manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Work arrangement:
Field-based; driving is essential.
Compensation & Benefits (US):
- Base salary: $161,250β$268,750; annual bonus; long-term incentive eligibility; health/insurance, retirement, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental & medical leave.
