Oncology Account Manager (OAM) responsibilities (Albany territory: Western MA [Worcester, Springfield, Berkshires], Rhode Island, and Connecticut):
- Contribute to Kuraβs overall sales objective by performing assigned Sales and Account Management activities.
- Achieve the assigned sales objective for the territory.
- Meet designated call goals to communicate balanced, accurate, and complete information on FDA-approved products.
- Develop and implement a territory business plan to meet customer needs and goals.
- Navigate complex healthcare structures (hospitals, IDNs, GPOs, healthcare communities) and align with cross-functional commercial partners.
- Complete administrative requirements (budget management, expense reports, CRM call reporting/synchronization) within timelines and guidelines.
- Strategically promote and expand use of assigned products by leveraging HCP/account needs.
- Operate within the assigned expense budget with fiscal responsibility.
- Complete and maintain training (product knowledge, disease state, market, selling skills, compliance).
- Identify and resolve issues/opportunities and communicate proactively to marketing and sales management.
Job specifications/qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required (business/marketing/healthcare/life sciences preferred).
- 6+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales; 3+ years in oncology/hematology and/or rare disease markets; oral therapeutic selling preferred.
- Experience managing large territories with periodic overnight travel.
- Occasional evenings/weekends for conferences.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
The base range is $210,000 to $230,000/year with target IC of $60k; compensation also includes benefits, equity, and an annual target bonus. Benefits include 401K w/ employer contributions, stock options, ESPP, 20 days PTO to start, and 18 holidays, among others.
