Position Summary
The Oncology Account Executive is a customer-facing sales professional responsible for sustained territory growth through new account acquisition and expansion of existing customer relationships. Role focuses on consultative selling and high-touch account management to position Caris tumor profiling solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Territory Growth:
- Drive new account acquisition and organic growth via strategic prospecting, value-based selling, and clinical education.
- Position Caris as preferred/sole-source provider of tumor profiling and molecular intelligence.
- Analyze territory opportunities; develop sales plans.
- Meet/exceed revenue, activity, and performance targets.
Account Management & Customer Experience:
- Build/maintain strong customer relationships through consistent in-person engagement.
- Ensure seamless customer experience across the order lifecycle.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders; escalate issues.
- Execute retention strategies; identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Clinical & Technical Expertise:
- Engage oncology clinicians across clinics, pathology labs, and hospitals.
- Support physicians with ordering/interpreting the CMI platform (including access to PHI when required).
- Advise on portals, EMR integrations, and workflows.
- Maintain knowledge of molecular profiling/biomarkers and competitive offerings.
Business/Reimbursement/Market Insight:
- Provide consultative guidance on billing, reimbursement, and payer dynamics.
- Share market/customer/competitive insights with leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree.
- 3+ years relevant sales experience.
- Strong understanding of oncology practices and molecular diagnostics.
- Knowledge of billing/reimbursement environments.
- Excellent communication/relationship-building.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Valid driverโs license; willingness to travel regularly.
- Successful completion of pre-employment requirements (background check, drug screening, credit check for certain roles, and reference verification).
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years oncology or molecular diagnostics sales experience.
- Established oncology/pathology relationships.
- Familiarity with hospital systems and pathology networks.

- Travel required; may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
