EMPLOYEE HEALTH & WELL-BEING PUERTO RICO OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE (OHN) (Scope: Puerto Rico; Exempt/Salaried)
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational health nursing services: injury/illness management, medical surveillance, case & disability management, return-to-work, and medical accommodations.
- Coordinate integrated health services with Site lead, Occupational Health Nurses/Physician, and Well-Being resources.
- Conduct occupational health surveillance evaluations/tests per company guidelines (coordinate with internal/external resources; document in EMR; maintain master records).
- Administer medications; provide minor treatments/therapies per clinical procedures/standing orders.
- Support Health & Well-Being policy deployment (health promotion, education, engagement/activation events).
- Provide first-aid/emergency care; arrange transport to care provider if needed; notify concerned parties.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and daily medical log; protect confidentiality.
- Counsel employees and make appropriate internal/external referrals.
- Support medical leave of absence and Workers’ Compensation (Fondo) process and required injury/illness recordkeeping.
- Assist with EHW-related audits and site initiatives/projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (current and non-restricted license).
- Occupational Health Nursing Certification / Puerto Rico Nursing College Collegiate.
- 3–5 years Occupational Health and Clinical Practice experience.
Required Skills/Certifications
- Current AED & CPR; hearing conservation & respiratory protection.
- Fluent English and Spanish communication.
- Bloodborne Pathogens program inclusion; Emergency Response Team participation.
- Availability for overtime/rotating shifts; travel within Puerto Rico (as assigned).
Preferred Skills
