Position: Employee Health & Well-Being Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) — Puerto Rico

Responsibilities
- Provide on-site nursing services focused on Occupational Health Programs: injury/illness management, medical surveillance, case management, disability management, return-to-work, and medical accommodations.
- Collaborate with site lead, Occupational Health Nurses, Occupational Health Physician, and Well-Being resources to deliver integrated health services.
- Conduct occupational health surveillance evaluations and tests per company guidelines: coordinate with internal/external resources; coordinate with department managers/supervisors; document interventions in the electronic record system; maintain master records.
- Administer medications and provide minor treatments/therapies for injured or ill employees per J&J clinical procedures/standing orders.
- Support deployment of Health & Well-Being policies at the site (health promotion, education, employee engagement/activation events).
- Provide emergency (first-aid) treatment for illness or accidents on company premises, arrange transportation to other care providers if needed, and notify all concerned.
- Maintain accurate clinical records using approved medical/nursing/statistical formats; ensure compliance with records management policies and maintain a daily medical log.
- Advise and counsel employees and make appropriate internal/external referrals.
- Develop knowledge of site-specific occupational hazards/exposures and appropriate treatments.
- Assist with medical leaves of absence and Workers’ Compensation (or equivalent) processes.
- Comply with health-related policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain high confidentiality and sensitivity regarding personal medical records/information.
- Refer work-related injury/illness cases to Workers’ Compensation (Fondo) and ensure compliance with injury/illness classification and recordkeeping.
- (With EHW Site Lead assessment/approval) collaborate in occupational health and employee-protection initiatives/projects.
- Perform duties assigned by the site lead (including supporting audits—internal/external).
- Complete/comply with EHW training, credentialing, and local/regulatory J&J policies.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (current and non-restricted license).
- Occupational Health Nursing Certification / Puerto Rico Nursing College Collegiate.

Required Skills / Certifications
- AED and CPR certification.
- Hearing conservation and respiratory protection certifications.
- Occupational Health and Clinical Practice experience (3–5 years).
- Fluent English and Spanish communication.
- Participation in Bloodborne Pathogens program.
- Active participant in the site Emergency Response Team.
- Availability for overtime and rotating shifts (with prior notification by EHW Site Lead).
- Willingness to travel to Puerto Rico affiliates (with prior notification by EHW Site Lead).
