How You’ll Spend Your Day
Essential Areas of Responsibility:
- Build rapport and relationships with regional team members and key external contacts (HCPs and office staff)
- Provide product demonstrations, physician detailing, and product in-services
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote product and provide product/patient education
- Strategically manage and grow key account relationships by tailoring solutions to unique needs to achieve sales targets
- Review and analyze sales data to create territory plans and utilize promotional budget funds
- Address external market challenges and collaborate internally to drive cohesive sales strategies
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate expertise and achieve shared objectives
- Maintain call average per sales plan (face-to-face interactions with top target customers)
- Use traditional and nontraditional problem-solving to improve performance in assigned geography
- Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines
- Achieve sales goals, reach objectives, and complete required administrative duties for the territory
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably related field)
- Minimum 1 year full-time documented business-to-business sales experience; pharmaceutical sales strongly preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities (Required/Preferred):
- Proven accomplishments meeting objectives in the market
- Strong interpersonal skills (active listening, empathy, communication, inclusivity, feedback)
- Strong written and oral communication; proficient with technology
- Ability to interact with HCPs face-to-face and virtually
- Knowledge of reimbursement/managed care/marketing (preferred)
- New product launch and broad therapeutic area experience (preferred)
- Pass background, motor, and drug screening
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Travel: Regular travel, including possible air and weekend/overnight travel
Territory: Portland metro area (North Bangor ME, West Skowhegan ME, South Portsmouth NH, East Rockland ME)
