Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) - PA-NJ District

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of specialty sales representatives in the psychiatry/CNS space.
  • Recruit, retain, and coach sales personnel; drive strategic planning, coaching, and performance improvement.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and stakeholders; ensure effective credentialing and compliance.
  • Represent the district with strong clinical and business acumen; align activities with district and company goals.
  • Travel up to 75% as required to cover the PA-NJ district and achieve sales objectives.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management preferred.
  • Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or depression; other specialty experience considered.
  • Proven ability to recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of specialty sales representatives.
  • Documented high performance in sales and leadership roles.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
  • Ability to secure and maintain industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, facilities, and local/state governments.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; analytical and business acumen.
  • Must reside near a major airport within the district.
  • Ability to adapt in an innovative work environment; experience in small company/start-up settings.

Skills

  • Excellent people management and coaching abilities; leadership and mentoring of specialty sales teams.
  • Clinical, patient-centric, and tactical mindset with strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Independent worker with strong decision-making and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
