Role Summary
Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) - PA-NJ District
Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing district team of specialty sales representatives within the neuroscience/psychiatry therapeutic area.
Recruit, retain, and coach sales representatives; drive achievement of district goals and above-average results.
Foster strong relationships with healthcare providers, customer facilities, and stakeholders; ensure effective credentialing where required.
Strategize and execute district sales plans; manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
Utilize strong analytical and business acumen to monitor performance and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Demonstrate clinical orientation and patient-centric approach; communicate effectively at all levels (interpersonal, verbal, written).
Travel within district and up to 75% as required to meet business needs.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's Degree; advanced degree a plus.
Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management experience preferred.
Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression; other specialty experience considered.
Required: Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop high-performing specialty sales teams; documented high performance in sales and leadership roles.
Required: Valid driverβs license and clean driving history; ability to secure and maintain credentialing as required.
Required: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to build and sustain positive relationships.
Required: Ability to travel up to 75%; reside near a major airport within the district.
Required: Ability to work effectively and flexibly in an innovative work environment; experience in small company/start-up environments is a plus.
