Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) for the NY-NJ District.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a specialty sales team focused on CNS/psychiatry products within the district.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing district-level sales representatives.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical and strategic selling capabilities to achieve above-average results.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance and leadership skills.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective deployment of resources and programs.
  • Maintain relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and state/local authorities to meet credentialing requirements.
  • Travel up to 75% as required by district needs.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
  • Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or depression; other specialty experience considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of specialty sales representatives.
  • Documented high performance in sales and leadership roles.
  • Driver’s license with clean driving history.
  • Ability to secure and maintain credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities; compliance with state/local regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to build positive relationships.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen; ability to think strategically and act tactically.
  • Must reside near a major airport within the district.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an innovative, changing environment; experience in small company/start-up settings is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree preferred.
