Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree; advanced degree a plus.
- 10+ years in the pharmaceuticals industry; 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
- Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
- Specialty experience preferred: CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar, or depression (other specialty experience considered).
Role/Performance Competencies & Required Capabilities
- Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of specialty sales representatives.
- Documented high performance in sales and leadership.
- Goal- and results-driven; proven above-average results.
- Excellent people management/supervisory skills; ability to coach, lead, and mentor.
- Highly clinical, patient-centric, tactical; strong interpersonal communication (verbal/written).
- Self-motivated; able to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Effective selling/presentation; strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to read situations quickly and adjust for roadblocks.
- Analytical/business acumen.
- Ability to secure and maintain industry-standard credentialing requirements.
- Build and sustain positive relationships.
- Driverโs license and clean driving history.
- Must reside near a major airport within the district.
- Ability to maintain effectiveness/flexibility in an innovative environment; experience in small company/start-up settings.
- Ability to travel up to 75%.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
