Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) - Gulf Coast District

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing specialty sales team in the psychiatry/CNS space within the Gulf Coast district.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop frontline sales representatives; provide coaching and mentorship.
  • Drive achievement of sales goals and maintain a strong clinical and patient-centric approach.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to secure and maintain credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Manage relationships with customers, facilities, and stakeholders; maintain effective communication and business acumen.
  • Travel up to 75% to cover the district and support field activities.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
  • Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Specialty experience preferred: CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression; other specialty experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and develop high performing team of specialty sales representatives.
  • Documented high performance of sales and leadership track record.
  • Driver’s license and clean driving history; ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to secure and maintain reasonable industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills; ability to build and sustain positive relationships.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and business acumen.
  • Must reside near a major airport within the district; ability to operate a motor vehicle for local, regional, and overnight travel.

  • Excellent people management/supervisory skills; ability to develop and coach specialty sales representatives and lead the team.
  • Highly clinical, patient-centric and tactical with excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written).
  • Outstanding work ethic; self-motivated and able to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Dynamic, high-impact individual with effective selling and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to read situations quickly and adjust for roadblocks.
  • Technical aptitude; working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel as required.
  • Physical: may occasionally lift/move items up to 15 pounds.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree; Advanced degree a plus.
