Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) for the Gulf Coast District. Oversees and develops a team of specialty sales representatives in the psychiatry/CNS space, driving performance and clinical engagement within the district.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing specialty sales representatives.
  • Lead and coach the district team to achieve sales goals and above-average results.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical, patient-centric, and tactical selling approaches with effective communication.
  • Manage relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and stakeholders; ensure credentialing requirements are met.
  • Coordinate travel and regional activities as needed to support district objectives.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management experience; leadership experience preferred for DSM role; may consider Associate DSM for candidates with 3 or more years of leadership potential.
  • Specialty experience preferred: CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression; other specialty experience considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop high-performing teams; documented high performance in sales and leadership.
  • Driver’s license and clean driving history; ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Ability to secure and maintain credentialing for healthcare providers, facilities, and government requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; ability to build positive relationships.
  • Analytical capability and strong business acumen; comfortable with data-driven decisions.
  • Must reside near a major airport within the district; adaptable to an innovative work environment; experience in small company/start-up settings preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent people management and supervisory skills; coaching and mentoring of specialty sales reps.
  • Clinical acumen with patient-centric and tactical selling ability.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, independent decision-maker with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to read situations quickly and adapt to roadblocks.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
