Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelorโs Degree; advanced degree a plus.
- 10+ years in the pharmaceuticals industry; 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
- Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
- Specialty experience preferred: CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar, or depression (other specialty experience considered).
Performance / Leadership Competencies
- Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of specialty sales representatives.
- Documented high performance of sales and sales leadership track record.
- Goal- and results-driven with a proven track record.
- Excellent people management/supervisory skills; coach, lead, and mentor the team.
- Highly clinical, patient-centric, tactical; strong interpersonal communication (verbal/written).
- Self-motivated; able to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Strong organizational skills; manage multiple priorities; adjust to roadblocks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Driverโs license and clean driving history.
- Ability to secure and maintain industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Ability to build and sustain positive relationships.
- Strong analytical and business acumen.
- Must reside near a major airport within the district.
- Ability to maintain effectiveness and flexibility in an innovative environment.
- Experience in small company/start-up environments.
- Ability to travel up to 75%.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
