Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) - Carolinas District

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing specialty sales team in the neuroscience/psychiatry space.
  • Recruit, retain, and coach specialty sales representatives; provide strategic direction and mentorship.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and stakeholders; ensure credentialing requirements are met.
  • Analyze market dynamics and drive business results; demonstrate strong analytical and business acumen.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve district objectives and navigate innovative work environments.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s Degree; Advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceuticals industry with 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
  • Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression; other specialty experience considered.
  • Required: Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of specialty sales representatives.
  • Required: Documented high performance of sales and leadership track record.
  • Required: Driverโ€™s license and clean driving history.
  • Required: Ability to secure and maintain reasonable industry-standard credentialing for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and government bodies.
  • Required: Ability to build and sustain positive relationships; strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
  • Required: Demonstrate strong analytical and business acumen.
  • Required: Must reside near a major airport within the district; willingness to travel up to 75%.
  • Required: Ability to maintain effectiveness and flexibility in an innovative work environment; experience in small company/start-up settings.

Skills

  • Excellent people management and supervisory skills; ability to develop and coach specialty sales representatives.
  • Strong clinical understanding with patient-centric, tactical approach and effective communication (interpersonal, verbal, written).
  • Self-motivated, high work ethic, and ability to work independently with sound decision-making.
  • Dynamic, high-impact presenter with strong selling and presentation capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to read situations quickly and adapt to roadblocks; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree; Advanced degree a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
