Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) - Carolinas District

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing specialty sales team in the neuroscience/psychiatry space within the Carolinas district.
  • Recruit, retain, and mentor specialty sales representatives; coach for performance and capability development.
  • Execute sales strategies to achieve above-average results; manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and stakeholders; demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
  • Operate with strong analytical and business acumen; make sound decisions in an innovative work environment.
  • Travel up to 75% to cover the district and meet business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management preferred.
  • Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression; other specialty experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and develop high-performing teams of specialty sales representatives; proven sales and leadership track record.
  • Driver’s license and clean driving history; ability to secure and maintain credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships; strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and business acumen; ability to travel up to 75%.

  • Excellent people management and supervisory skills; ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Clinical acumen, patient-centric approach, and tactical selling with strong communication skills.
  • Independent, self-motivated with sound decision-making; dynamic, high-impact presenter.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside near a major airport within the district.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
