Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) – Carolinas District.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing specialty sales team in the Psychiatry/CNS space within the Carolinas district.
  • Recruit, retain, and coach specialty sales representatives; provide mentorship and performance management.
  • Drive GOAL and results with a strong focus on strategic planning, execution, and operational excellence.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and stakeholders; maintain credentialing requirements as needed.
  • Utilize strong clinical and tactical selling skills to meet business objectives; communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational skills and adaptability in an innovative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management preferred.
  • Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar, depression, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of specialty sales representatives.
  • Documented high performance in sales and leadership roles.
  • Driver’s license with clean driving history; ability to secure/maintain credentialing for providers and facilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills; ability to build relationships.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen; ability to read situations quickly and adjust for roadblocks.
  • Must reside near a major airport within the district.
  • Experience in small company and startup environments; willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Industry credentials and continuing education as needed to maintain eligibility with providers and facilities.
