Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) โ€“ San Francisco, CA. Responsible for executing and promoting products within the assigned territory, achieving sales goals, and delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate use of the product in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease area, competition, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Adhere to credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and government entities.
  • Complete additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; Associate role considered for those not meeting experience.
  • Atypical antipsychotic or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter, goal- and results-driven; proven track record of above-average results.
  • Hunter mentality with ability to compete and sell.
  • Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
  • Ability to travel (may include overnights); some travel to HQs and training may be required.
  • Work hours may extend beyond normal business hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

Education

  • BS or BA degree required; GPA > 3.0.

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driverโ€™s license and acceptable driving record; ability to operate a motor vehicle for local, regional, and overnight travel.
  • May require lifting/moving items up to 15 pounds.
