Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Portland, OR. Responsible for executing and promoting products within the assigned territory, achieving sales goals, and delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of products, disease areas, competition, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet reasonable credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience (preferred).
  • Candidates not meeting experience requirements may be considered for an Associate role.
  • Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter, goal- and results-driven, with a track record of above-average results.
  • Hunter mentality with ability to sell and compete.
  • Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory preferred.
  • Ability to travel (including overnights) and potential out-of-territory travel to HQs/trainings.
  • Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Education

  • BS or BA degree; GPA > 3.0.
