Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Nassau, NY. Responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory. Reports to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet reasonable industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Handle additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; consideration for the โ€œAssociateโ€ role if requirements not met.
  • Experience with atypical antipsychotics and/or orphan drugs preferred.
  • Preferred experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management; reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with goal- and results-driven mindset; hunter mentality.
  • Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
  • Ability to travel, including potential overnights; occasional travel to HQs/trainings may be required.
  • Work hours may extend beyond normal business hours.
  • Must reside within the territory.

  • Excellent communication (interpersonal, verbal, written) and presentation skills.
  • Clinical, patient-centric approach with ability to navigate complex markets.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in computer use and sales reporting tools.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders.

Education

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0 required.

  • Must be able to perform essential functions with/without reasonable accommodations.
  • Travel may be required; valid driverโ€™s license and driving record acceptable for local, regional, and overnight travel.
