Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products per sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion direction.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
- Maintain current product, disease, competitive, and reimbursement knowledge.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) in territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate persuasively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement in institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete required monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Meet industry-standard healthcare provider/customer facility/state/local credentialing requirements.

Qualifications:
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; Associate role may be considered for those who do not meet the experience requirement.
- Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Preferred specialty experience: psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Must reside within territory geography.
- Ability to travel (including overnights); out-of-territory travel to HQs/training/meetings; work hours may include off-hours meetings.
- May occasionally lift/move up to 15 lbs.
