Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
- Maintain current product, disease, competitive, and market reimbursement knowledge.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.).
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate persuasively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (may be considered for Associate if not met).
- Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management preferred.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory preferred.
- Valid driverโs license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter with a proven track record; โhunterโ mentality.
- Strong territory knowledge/relationships.
- Ability to travel (including overnights); may require work hours outside normal schedule.
- Must reside within territory geography.
Performance Competencies:
- Goal/results driven; strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate complex markets; manage multiple priorities independently.
- Customer-focused, self-motivated, computer proficient.
- Ability to lift/move up to 15 pounds occasionally.
