Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
- Maintain current product, disease, competitive, and market reimbursement knowledge.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) in the territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (candidates not meeting experience may be considered for an Associate role).
- Ability to travel (may include overnights); out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and sales meetings may be required.
- Valid driverโs license and clean driving history.
- Must reside within territory geography.
- Ability to lift/move items up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Preferred:
- Atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience.
- Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Reimbursement experience.
- Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the assigned territory.
Skills/Competencies:
- Goal- and results-driven; proven above-average performance.
- Clinical, patient-centric approach; strong interpersonal communication.
- Ability to navigate complex markets/organizations; strong organization and prioritization.
- Computer proficient; customer-focused; โhunterโ mentality.
