Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Cape Girardeau, MO. Responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory. Reports to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales strategy related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and government entities.
  • Complete additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; Associate role considered for lesser experience.
  • Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with goal- and results-driven mindset; proven track record of above-average results.
  • Fortitude to sell and compete with hunter mentality.
  • Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory preferred.
  • Ability to travel (including overnights) and may require out-of-territory travel to HQs/training.
  • Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

Skills

  • Clinical, patient-centric and tactical with excellent communication (interpersonal, verbal, written).
  • Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent selling and presentation skills; strong computer proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; ability to operate a motor vehicle for local and travel needs.
  • Ability to lift/move items up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Education

  • BS or BA degree; GPA > 3.0.
