Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion direction.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in the defined territory.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) in the territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate persuasively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard healthcare provider/customer facility/state credentialing requirements.
- Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Education & Experience / Qualifications:
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (may consider “Associate” otherwise).
- Preferred: atypical antipsychotic/orphan drug experience; specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management; reimbursement experience.
- Preferred: relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers (or within 24 months) in the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter with proven above-average results; “hunter” mentality.
- Strong territory knowledge/relationships.
- Ability to travel (including overnights); possible out-of-territory HQ/training/sales meetings.
- Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours; must reside within territory geography.

- Navigate complex markets; strong work ethic and organization; manage multiple priorities; adapt quickly.
