Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate frequently with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion activities.
- Analyze the local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of products, disease areas, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) in territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers/customer facilities/state/local governments.
- Additional, ad-hoc projects as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements:
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience (preferred); otherwise may be considered for an “Associate” role.
- Preferred: atypical anti-psychotic/orphan drug experience; specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Preferred: reimbursement experience; relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory (or within 24 months).
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving history.
- Self-starter with proven above-average results; “hunter” mentality; strong territory relationships/knowledge.
- Travel required (may include overnights); out-of-territory travel to HQ/training/meetings; work hours may include outside normal hours; must reside within territory geography.

- Ability to lift/move up to 15 pounds occasionally.
