Neuroscience Account Manager (reports to Neuroscience District Sales Manager)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion strategy.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use.
- Maintain current knowledge of products, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.).
- Use advanced selling and negotiation to communicate effectively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring/reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (may consider Associate otherwise).
- Atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management preferred.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory preferred.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Valid driverโs license; clean driving history.
- Self-starter; goal/results driven with a proven track record.
- โHunterโ mentality; strong territory knowledge/relationships.
- Ability to travel (including overnights); occasional out-of-territory travel and off-hours meetings.
- Must reside within territory geography.
- Computer proficient; strong communication; ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to roadblocks.
- May occasionally lift/move up to 15 lbs.
