Primary Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion direction.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
- Maintain current product, disease, competitive, and reimbursement knowledge.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.).
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate persuasively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard healthcare provider/facility/state credentialing requirements; complete additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; may consider “Associate” for candidates not meeting experience requirements.
- Preferred: atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience.
- Preferred specialty experience: psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Preferred: reimbursement experience.
- Preferred: relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory.
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving history.
- Hunter mentality; self-starter; goal/results driven.
- Strong territory relationships/knowledge; computer proficient.
- Travel required (may include overnights and out-of-territory HQ/training/sales meetings); must reside within territory geography.

Performance Competencies
- Highly clinical, patient-centric, tactical; excellent communication skills.
- Navigate complex markets/organizations; manage multiple priorities; adjust to roadblocks.
- May occasionally lift/move up to 15 pounds.
