Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy for product promotion.
- Analyze the local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal allocation of resources (budgets, time, etc.) in the territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate persuasively with identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement in institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Vanda policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Valid driverβs license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter; goal- and results-driven with proven above-average results.
- βHunterβ mentality; strong desire to sell and compete.
- Strong relationships and territory knowledge preferred.
- Ability to travel (may include overnights) and work outside normal hours as scheduled.
- Must reside within territory geography.

- Highly clinical, patient-centric, tactical; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
- Ability to navigate complex markets/organizations; strong work ethic and organizational skills.

- Ability to operate a motor vehicle for local/regional and occasional overnight travel.
