How You’ll Spend Your Day (Responsibilities)
- Maximize compliant, ethical sales growth and profitability in a defined territory.
- Build rapport with HCPs and stakeholders; respond to needs appropriately.
- Provide product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing.
- Promote product and provide product/patient education with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff.
- Strategically manage and grow key accounts by tailoring solutions; drive differentiation and sales targets.
- Review/analyze sales data to create territory plans and use promotional budget funds.
- Maintain competitive edge; collaborate internally to execute cohesive strategies.
- Proactively partner with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain required call average (face-to-face with top target customers).
- Use problem-solving to improve performance in the assigned region; adhere to compliance policies.
- Achieve sales goals and complete administrative duties.
Your Skills and Experience (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably related field).
- Documented B2B sales experience; pharmaceutical sales preferred.
- Preferred: complex healthcare account management; experience across Centers of Excellence/academic medical centers/integrated systems/specialty practices.
- Preferred: specialty pharmacies, patient support programs, reimbursement/access stakeholders.
- Preferred: neurology/psychiatry/pediatrics/rare disease/specialty therapeutics/complex disease states.
- Preferred: new product launch experience.
- Senior Sales Specialist: 1+ year; Executive Sales Specialist: 7+ years.
- Preferred skills: communication; interact with HCPs face-to-face/virtual; technology proficiency; leadership.
- Preferred: reimbursement/managed care/marketing knowledge.
- Must pass background, motor, and drug screening; valid US driver’s license.
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel, including possible air and weekend/overnight.
