How You’ll Spend Your Day
Essential Areas of Responsibility:
- Build rapport and relationships with regional team members, cross-functional partners, and external contacts (HCPs and office staff)
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and product in-servicing
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote product and provide product/patient education
- Strategically manage and grow relationships with key accounts by tailoring solutions to meet unique needs; drive differentiation and achieve sales targets
- Review and analyze sales data to create territory plans and utilize promotional budget
- Address external market challenges while fostering internal collaboration
- Proactively work with cross-functional teams to integrate expertise and execute sales strategies
- Maintain call average per sales plan with face-to-face interactions with top target customers
- Use problem-solving approaches to improve performance in assigned region
- Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines
- Achieve sales performance goals, reach objectives, and complete administrative duties for the territory
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably related field)
- Documented business-to-business sales experience; pharmaceutical sales preferred
- Preferred: experience managing complex healthcare accounts and engaging multiple stakeholders; work with specialty pharmacies, patient support/reimbursement/access stakeholders
- Preferred: neurology/psychiatry/pediatric/rare disease/specialty therapeutics or other complex disease states; new product launch experience
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Proven accomplishments meeting objectives; strong written/oral communication
- Ability to interact with HCPs face-to-face and virtually; proficient with technology
- Leadership/interpersonal skills; knowledge of reimbursement/managed care/marketing preferred
- Must pass background, motor, and drug screening; valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
Travel Requirements:
- Regular travel, may include air travel and weekend/overnight travel
