Essential Areas of Responsibility:
- Build rapport and relationships with regional team members, cross-functional partners, and external contacts (HCPs and office staff).
- Provide product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-services.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff; promote product and provide product/patient education.
- Strategically manage and grow key account relationships to achieve sales targets.
- Review and analyze sales data to create territory plans and utilize promotional budget funds.
- Address external market challenges; collaborate internally to drive sales strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to execute sales strategies and shared objectives.
- Maintain call average per sales plan (face-to-face with top target customers).
- Use problem-solving to improve performance in assigned region.
- Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines.
- Achieve sales goals and complete administrative duties for territory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (preferably related).
- Business-to-business sales experience (pharmaceutical sales preferred).
- Preferred: managing complex healthcare accounts; engaging multiple stakeholders; experience with specialty pharmacies/patient support/reimbursement/access; neurology/psychiatry/pediatrics/rare disease/specialty therapeutics; new product launch.
- Senior Sales Specialist: 1+ year; Executive Sales Specialist: 7+ years.
Skills/Abilities:
- Proven accomplishments; strong written/oral communication.
- Ability to interact with HCPs in-person/virtual and use technology.
- Leadership/interpersonal skills; reimbursement/managed care/marketing knowledge preferred.
- Pass background, motor, and drug screening; valid US driverβs license.
Travel: Regular travel, including air and weekend/overnight.
Comp/Benefits (highlights): $88,000β$160,000 starting salary; sales incentive plan; medical/dental/vision/prescription, 401(k) match, paid time off, life/disability.
