Essential Areas of Responsibility:
- Build rapport and relationships with healthcare providers (HCPs), regional teams, cross-functional partners, and external contacts.
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and product in-servicing.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote product and provide product/patient education.
- Strategically manage and grow key account relationships to achieve sales targets.
- Review and analyze sales data to create territory plans and utilize promotional budget funds.
- Maintain competitiveness by addressing external market challenges and collaborating internally to drive sales strategy.
- Work with cross-functional teams to execute sales strategies and achieve shared objectives.
- Maintain required call average (face-to-face with HCPs, focusing on top target customers).
- Use problem-solving to improve performance within the assigned geography/region.
- Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines.
- Achieve sales goals and complete required administrative duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree required (preferably related field).
- Documented B2B sales experience; pharmaceutical sales preferred.
- Preferred: experience managing complex healthcare accounts and engaging multiple stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience with specialty pharmacies, patient support programs, reimbursement/access stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience in neurology, psychiatry, pediatrics, rare disease, specialty therapeutics, or other complex disease states.
- Preferred: new product launch experience.
- Senior Sales Specialist: minimum 1 year; Executive Sales Specialist: minimum 7 years.
Skills/Abilities:
- Proven accomplishments in meeting objectives.
- Strong written/oral communication.
- Ability to engage HCPs in face-to-face and virtual settings; proficient with technology.
- Leadership/interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of reimbursement/managed care/marketing preferred.
- Must pass background, motor, and drug screening.
- Valid US driverโs license and acceptable driving record.
