Essential Areas of Responsibility
- Build rapport and relationships with regional team members, cross-functional partners, and external contacts (e.g., HCPs and office staff).
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and product in-servicing.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote product and provide product/patient education.
- Strategically manage and grow key account relationships by tailoring solutions, driving differentiation, and achieving sales targets.
- Review and analyze sales data to create territory plans and utilize promotional budget funds.
- Address external market challenges and collaborate internally to execute successful sales strategies.
- Proactively work with cross-functional teams to integrate insights and achieve shared objectives.
- Maintain call average per sales plan (face-to-face with HCPs, focusing on top target customers).
- Use problem-solving techniques to improve performance in the assigned region.
- Adhere to all compliance policies and guidelines.
- Achieve sales performance goals, reach objectives, and complete administrative duties.
Education/Certification/Experience
- Bachelorβs degree required (preferably related field).
- Documented business-to-business sales experience; pharmaceutical sales preferred.
- Preferred: managing complex healthcare accounts; engaging multiple stakeholders in major healthcare settings.
- Preferred: experience with specialty pharmacies, patient support/reimbursement/access stakeholders.
- Preferred: neurology/psychiatry/pediatrics/rare disease/specialty therapeutics experience; new product launch experience.
- Role level: Senior Sales Specialist (min 1 year) or Executive Sales Specialist (min 7 years).
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Proven accomplishments meeting objectives in the specific market.
- Strong written/oral communication; leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage HCPs face-to-face and virtually; proficient with technology.
- Preferred: reimbursement/managed care/marketing knowledge.
- Pass background, motor, and drug screening; valid US driverβs license with acceptable record.
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel, including possible air travel and weekend/overnight travel.
Salary/Benefits
- Starting salary: $88,000β$160,000 annually; eligibility for sales incentive plan.
